What will you be doing? 

The receptionist is the initial point of contact on behalf of the company by telephone and in person with a focus on excellent customer service and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have previous experience capably operating a multi-line telephone system and excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. 

How you will make an impact at Intertek: 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and visitors
  • Answer, log and direct phone calls
  • Update Visitor log and send out first time visitor cards
  • Assist with mail and deliveries
  • Administer safety video, manage visitor badges and distribute appropriate PPE
  • Manage inventory of uniforms, office and janitorial supplies
  • Assist with clerical support projects as assigned
  • Assist with Day One Onboarding of New Hires

 

What it takes to be successful in this role: 

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Previous experience as a receptionist handling high volume calls
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to details
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours as needed
