Environmental Project Manager


Intertek is actively seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join our Building & Construction team in Farmington Hills, MI.  The ideal Environmental Project Manager candidate will be process-driven, detailed, and collaborative.


The Environmental Project Manager will support the Building and Construction business by managing Environmental Projects in the Metro Detroit area. 


The Building & Construction team provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services and building science solutions to deliver Total Quality Assurance to the built environment. The team offers the architectural, engineering and construction (A/E/C) industry with a full suite of capabilities both in the lab and on site.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Client Maintenance and Development
  • Project Site Walks / Scope Development / Proposal Preparation
  • Project Estimating / Vendor Management
  • Project Scheduling / Cost Tracking / Report Coordination and Review
  • Participates in all QA/QC programs as appropriate
  • Performs other non-typical assignments upon availability as assigned by management



What qualifications do you need?

  • BS/MS Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, Chemistry or some Physical Science. PG preferred 
  • 5+ years previous experience preferred in Environmental Due Diligence and/or Industrial Hygiene related services
  • Project Supervision with ability to manage budgets, field staff, and clients
  • Knowledge of environmental concepts, principles, practices, and regulations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Driver’s License required and proof of clean driving record
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
