  • This Cyber Security Assessment Specialist position supports EWA-Canada’s information assurance services. This position encompasses remote and hands-on cybersecurity testing (infrastructure and application vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, security design reviews, and reporting)
  • Consultancy style activities such as workshops, training, gap assessments, and client-focused business development.
  • We are looking for a driven, well-round and self-motivated person with an entrepreneurial approach to their work


  • Knowledge of various vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and social engineering approaches for vulnerability identification, enumeration, and exploitation to determine the value and effectiveness of a network, system, or application's security configuration
  • Develop expertise to represent EWA-Canada as a subject matter expert in a variety of national and international cybersecurity standards such as IEC 62443, UL-2900, ITSG 33
  • Develop workshops, training materials, whitepapers, to support clients’ compliance goals
  • Effective communication the results of engagements to the client in written, verbal, and visual forms
  • Spend approximately 15%- 30% interacting, communicating, collaborating with new and existing identified target clients
  • May be required to perform some hands-on and network communications testing of IoT devices to assess against various international standards
  • Provide outstanding customer service


  • Familiarity with threats, vulnerabilities, attack methods, and countermeasures
  • Familiarity with secure network design and system architecture
  • Superior interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to document and communicate potential security weaknesses and recommendations to the client
  • Must be self-motivated and can work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

 Preferred Skills:

  • Relevant cyber-security certifications (ie. OSCP, CISA, CISSP, GPEN, GWAPT). 
  • Cybersecurity risk management, medical device cybersecurity, UL2900, IEC 62443, ISA99, ITSG 33, ETSI TS 103 645 (more could be added)
  • Familiarity with security testing tools (e.g. Nessus, Metasploit, Acunetix, HCL Appscan)
  • Familiarity with security testing techniques, standards, and guidelines
  • Experience working in a regulated, accredited facility or environment


  • Post-secondary degree/diploma
